  It's not worth $40 for an unpowered campsite. Of course there's a pool, but it's not very clean, the showers and toilets are just about clean, but the kitchen leaves something to be desired... The bare minimum in terms of equipment, not clean and in poor condition (broken fridge, furniture/table that tips over because it's not stable). Not many chairs and tables either. In short, it's a shame because the campground’s location has everything to please (access to the beach and rainforest right on site). Unfriendly staff, apart from the lady at reception.

  I stayed here 2 night in my van. They charge $10 more than the other local places ($30 vs $20) but they have subpar accommodations. The kitchen is borderline unusable- the stove tops are literally rusted over. There’s no soap to wash your dishes.
  Even tho the place is empty they are very strict on check out times - to the point where they won’t let you use the communal showers or throw away your trash once you’ve checked out. This was very unusual for me as most places - especially if close to a beach- will let you freshen up before you go. I did appreciate the nature that the location offers while I was there - walking distance to the beach and a swimming hole as well as a nature reserve. Overall not a bad place to stay but I will be investigating other options around.

  DO NOT STAY HERE IF YOU PLAN ON COOKING YOUR OWN FOOD.
  
  Kitchen did not work at all. Couldn't cook anything as none of the hobs worked.
  
  Tried to get a refund but was told absolutely no. We left and booked elsewhere as we can't afford to eat our each night in Cape Trib.
  
  Would give 0 stars if possible.

  We had a great time at PK's, the reason for some low ratings are because the rooms could at least have a small table or somewhere to place your luggage. Friendly staff. The bathrooms could use a good scrub as well as the kitchen. The kitchen is very bare bones, and scruffy. Overall, the grounds are great and the pool was fantastic!

  This place is absolutely banging for the price. the cheapest place we could find on the cape. we arrived without any booking quite late at night but the staff where able to whip up a budget room for us since we had nowhere else to go. The budget rooms are extremely simple. just a small cupboard, double bed, window and aircon. But, they where clean and suited us perfectly for the 2 nights we stayed. the garden and bar area is also quite relaxed most of the time and the food and drink was decent for the price.
